My name is Hosanna (yes, like in all the songs…) and I really do live in a house that’s numbered 233. This blog exists to chronicle the ins, outs, and ongoings of my life. I thought long and hard about what ‘kind’ of blog I wanted this to be (home, family, student ministries, things I like, funny things that happen in classrooms, household mishaps, etc) and then finally decided that I was just going to write. About whatever!

Having been an avid blog reader for a couple of years now, I decided it was time for me to bite to bullet and stake a claim on my own little piece of internet property. If you blog, leave me a comment with a link to your site. Discovering favorite new blogs is definitely an internet love of mine!

The Ws in House 233 are me and my husband, Brent. We’re a couple in our mid-20s and we’re parents to Gavin, our (completely adorable, absolute love of our lives) 1 year old boy. We love our lives and hope you enjoy reading about them!

Wow! Your comment on my blog has really blessed me and tugged at my heart strings. I am so glad you found my blog and so glad to meet you.
I want to encourage you to hang in there. I have been there! Actually, I still am.
I can’t tell you how many tears I have cried over not feeling “good enough”. So many times I have felt like a failure as a Mom. Just wished I could have it all together like those “other” moms.
And I still struggle with it.
But I want to encourage you to not beat yourself up.
Do you love God? Yes, you do.
Do you love your husband? Yes, you do.
Do you love your precious son? Yes, you do.
Do they feel that love and love you back? Yes, they do.
Then, friend, you are just perfect! You’re doing it right!
All the other stuff….dirty laundry, pb&j for dinner, toys all over the place, is just details.
I can bet when you son gets older that he won’t remember a messy house or less than perfect meals, but he WILL remember the love he felt inside that house.
My mom always told me to count my blessings. You are blessed to have mounds of laundry and toys all over the house because it means your house is full of people you love! It’s a blessed mess! πŸ™‚
I could go on and on, but please feel free to email me anytime if you ever need anything.
And please visit my blog often. And PLEASE do not think for one moment that I have it all together. I don’t. We are in the same boat. But let’s encourage each other to keep focusing on God and leaning on His strength to make it through each day.
    Blessings to you,

  2. Oops. I meant to ask you a question. You are the second person this week that told me they found me through Nester’s blog. Do you remember what post that was? Was it the one about Blissdom? Other than that, I don’t think I have been mentioned on her blog. Just curious. Thanks.

    • Hi Traci!
Yes, I believe it was during the time when all of you went to Blissdom and did re-cap posts. I remember thinking, “What an excellent group of bloggers!” It was kind of like Christmas, getting to discover all of you! πŸ™‚ Have a great day!
